Description:
Caddis Slow Water, Olive Biot Wing
This pattern rides low in the surface film with its wings folded back, somewhat like an emergent or spent caddis.
The Little Black Caddis hatch occurs in brief, thirty-minute cycles in the afternoon. The main attraction to trout is when the females are laying thier eggs. These caddis flies will dap the water numerous times and excite the trout. This pattern is best used between the oviposting sessions to imitate a spent female, or prior to the hatch to imitate an emerging caddis.
