Cold water or warm water, this fly will catch them all. Designed originally by Bob Clouser as a pattern for small mouth bass, this fly has caught over 80 fish species. "Sculpin" is the color name of this pattern, and while it does effectively imitate a sculpin, it is effective for imitating many baitfish.

The pattern has become a style of tying baitfish imitations. By varying the materials, size, and other factors, this is without a doubt the most versitile baitfish pattern for any body of water. We have these baitfish patterns designed for shallow water bonefishing, deepwater bass and saltwater, and weedless versions of the fly for anything from trout to redfish. This pattern "swims" in a hook up position preventing snags and making hook-ups easier. No fly box is complete without a couple of these flies.
